Expressive Acts Realization in “I Care a Lot” Movie

Realization of expressive acts is a phenomenon pragmatics that appears in movie. This descriptive qualitative research aimed at examining the types and how were realized In collecting data, this implemented observational method non-participatory technique. Pragmatic identity pragmatic competence- equalizing technique applied as analyzing data. Regarding theory, theory carried out by Searle Vanderveken (1985). The findings revealed there 36 data act utterances characters. Those 7 apologizing, 1 welcoming, congratulating, condoling, greeting, thanking, 5 complaining, 12 complimenting, deploring. type complimenting became dominant among other types. It result existence rich elderly their wealth persuaded characters to express complimenting.
